The Table Tennis Gwinnett coaching studio is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, featuring two playing courts, each with Butterfly tournament quality tables. Meet Our Coaches
Meet Jon Gustavson
My table tennis journey began with the table I grew up with. As a young adult, I declared myself neighborhood champion, church champion, and assumed I would hold many other titles. Like other local champions, a first visit to a table tennis club proved to be a humbling experience. Even lower level members showed a level of skill, cunning, and aggression that recreational players rarely encounter. Since that introduction, I have sought to learn as much as possible, play as well as possible, and coach others so they can survive in the cutthroat world of table tennis.
Table Tennis can be very competitive. But the table tennis community is generally friendly. One of my goals has been to make it even friendlier. A coach can be a good guide to help players reach their goals. I have been an ITTF level two coach, USATT regional coach, a USATT 1855 level player, and received my coaching from some of the best in the business. Most importantly, I’ve coached hundreds of players. Over the last ten years coaching has taken me to the Atlanta Georgia Table Tennis Association, Gwinnett Table Tennis, Georgia Tech, Jon’s Table Tennis Training, and the Table Tennis Philosophy YouTube channel. I pride myself on treating each player as an individual and providing fundamental training designed for each player’s style.

Meet Phillip Gustavson
Table tennis has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. We played at my grandparents house every holiday. At a young age I began participating in leagues and free play at local table tennis clubs. I decided early on to play a traditional Chinese penhold attacking style.
Playing table tennis as a junior athlete was the experience of a lifetime. I got the opportunity to travel the country to tournaments with my family, coaches, and training partners. I learned valuable life lessons and how to compete. I also won a few tournaments and have some pretty cool trophies to remember those good times.
After attending some college, working in corporate America, and starting a family, I rediscovered my love for table tennis. I love the training environment. As a coach, I am excited to help introduce newcomers to the sport or assist a tournament player prepare for their next competition.
Whether you end up traveling the country playing tournaments or just downstairs to your basement, I want to help you to get as much out of your table tennis experience as possible.
